Savannah Suggestions

Suggestions from friends:
From Cara:
As for food, we really liked J. Christopher's. They had live music, a fantastic duo, that we really enjoyed and the food was great!
We went to The Olde Pink House, it's pretty upscale, but again, the food was delicious.
Leopold's Ice Cream is definitely worth a stop.
Jazz'd Tapas was pretty good, maybe a little crowded and the music was pretty loud for my tastes.
We had a decent brunch at SOHO South Cafe, I'd go back.

We went and saw Lawrence of Arabia at Lucas Theatre for the Arts, we sat in the balcony, it was a cool, chill way to spend an evening.

The only museum we went to was the Massie Heritage Center. we ended up learning all about the construction of Savannah, like city planning, why all of the squares were there and stuff, we really enjoyed it!

We spent most of our days just walking around the city. We found lots of cool little shops to explore, on of my favorites was (I think this is the name) ShopSCAD. It was full of tons of original stuff.

We didn't do any of the tours, but I sort of wish we'd done that when we first got there in order to orient ourselves a little.

From Katie:
Drinks... Sparetime on MLK and congress.... Classic cocktails with small batch liquor. They only play vinyl. Next door is the social... Over 95 bourbons.
You want beer? World Of Beer of Broughton.

Food... Gotta have some BBQ-- Blowwin Smoke on MLK. It's delicious and good beer. Fancy delicious awesome experience food?... Local 1110. Local food done right. Great cocktail list. Another great-- Sapphire Grill on congress. Both unbelievable food.

Something that you have to do on a Friday or Saturday is go to Hucapoos on Tybee. I used to work there and it is one of the best places on earth... You'll see when you get there. It's a locals place and you'll hear some amazing live music.

If you want to go to river street and catch a buzz... Kevin Barry's is a hole in the wall, but it's the oldest Irish bar in Savannah. Last... On river street... Go to Rocks on the Roof in the bohemian hotel. You'll see riverstreet from a birds eye view. Have fun:). Go to hucapoos.

From Zack:

OK so first thing hit up river street only for a day its a tourist trap but you have to see it.
Make sure you hit up the distillery which is a great bar.
As well as the crystal beer palace
also theres a place called zunzis which is famed for there sandwiches.
If your looking for a cool experience take the ghost drinking tour and also there's a culinary tour.
